Organization and Management A-Kon Consults Limited Surveyors are well trained and experienced in a variety of specializations such as the preparation of Bills of Quantities, Cost Planning and Analysis, Financial Reports, Interim Applications and Valuations, Final Accounts and Site measurements.
In addition to having an in-depth knowledge of various aspects of Quantity Surveying, all our surveyors have specialized consultancy capabilities in project management and administration.
A-Kon Consults Limited is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

BOARD CHAIRMAN
Professor Kofi Budu Laryea
Ph.D., M.Sc, B.Sc.
Professor Kofi Budu Laryea was born in Winneba (Ghana) on 13th October 1939. He attended Mfantsipim School from 1954 – 1959. Between 1960 and 1963, he was at the University of Ghana where he obtained a BSc. Degree in Agriculture and then proceeded to the University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia between 1967 and 1970 and University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada from 1975 – 1979 where he obtained MSc. and Ph.D. degrees respectively
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Samuel Asare-Konadu
B.Sc (Hons), PGDip Surv., MRICS, MCIOB, MGhIS
Samuel is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Builder with about twenty years of post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience. Samuel’s professional carrier commenced at G. A. Takyi and Partners as a graduate Quantity Surveyor 1994. The next six years at G. A. Takyi and Partners afforded him the opportunity to grow his carrier to the position of a Senior Surveyor while working on various projects of varying sizes and complexities and qualified as a Chartered Builder in 1999.
SECRETARY
Mrs. Gwendolene Asare-Konadu
B.A (Hons), ACCA
Gwendolene has had several years of experience with national and multinational organizations in Ghana. She worked as an Accounts Supervisor at IKAM Limited from 1996-1998. She later joined Western Telesystems Limited – the second biggest national telecommunication operator in Ghana (currently Airtel) in 1998. She was the Administrative Assistant for the Accounts Department from 1999 to 2004.
DIRECTOR
Professor Mike Riley
BSc (Hons), MSc, FRICS, FBEng
Professor Mike Riley is a Visiting professor to the Building Surveying Department at the University of Malaya and is the Director of the School of Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University; one of the largest Built environment departments in the UK. He has more than 20 years of experience in Building Surveying practice and Construction and Property education. Mike is a consultant to several national organizations in the UK and has an established reputation with RICS internationally.
